Verona
uring Romeo & Juliet’s 3 day
romance, the death toll in
Verona rises to 6 as the feud
between the Montagues and
Capulets escalates. The departed are
as follows:

 Mercutio – Kinsman of the
Prince, is killed by Tybalt
Capulet.
 Tybalt Capulet – Killed by
Romeo Montague.
 Paris – Kinsman of the Prince,
is killed by Romeo Montague.
 Romeo

Committed
suicide
by
poisoning.
 Juliet Capulet – Committed
Suicide by stabbing.
 Lady Capulet – Grieved
herself to death.
omeo and Juliet had to deal
with a lot of consequences due
to the family feuding between
the Capulets & Montagues.
As a result of the feuding between
their families, it is no wonder that
love did not fit into the equation.

n Rome & Juliet, we see that no
matter what path was taken, both
ultimately led to death. Romeo
and Juliet chose to love each other
and in the end they were only allowed
to be together in death. The Capulets
and Montagues chose to hate each
other, which led to deaths for both
families. There were two different
choices that led to the same fate.
