ACTIVITY – Bringing the Body Systems Together
Name: ___________________ Date: ____________________ Block: ____________
Activity: You will work in a group of 4 to complete the Bringing the Body Systems
Together activity.
Part 1 – Individual Systems
What to Do:
Members of the group will work together to answer the following questions about the four
body systems that we have been studying. You will follow the example shown by your
teacher to help you answer your questions. Your group will answer the questions onto the
sheet of paper given out.
Answer for following questions for the circulatory system, respiratory system,
excretory system, and digestive system:
1. What are the main parts of each of the body systems?
2. What is the purpose of each of the body systems?
3. What is the pathway for each body system?
 The pathway of air from the mouth/nose to alveoli (respiratory system)
 The pathway of blood starting at the right atrium and ending at the right atrium
(circulatory system)
 The pathway of food from the mouth to anus (digestive system)
 The pathway of cellular waste from blood vessels to the urethra(excretory
system)
4. What nutrients, if any, does each body system supply to the body?
5. What wastes, if any, does each body system remove or help to remove from the
body?
Part 2 – Bringing the Systems Together
What to Do:
Your group will determine how the following body systems are connected to each other:
1. Respiratory system and circulatory system
2. Digestive system and circulatory system
3. Excretory system and circulatory system
4. Respiratory system and digestive system
5. Digestive system and excretory system
6. Respiratory and excretory system
