Lee Grint E-mail: [email protected] Mobile: 07825611469 Creative Designer Previous training: Graduated from Cleveland College of Art and Design in 2008 with a BA (Hons) in Entertainment Design Crafts. I specialise in prop design/making but have experience in set design/making, costume design, and graphic design. Previous Work Experience: Oct - Nov 2008: Worked at Northern Stage assisting with the decoration of a gypsy wagon for the Christmas show “Hansel & Gretel“. Duties included carving cakes, pastries, and breads out of polystyrene, scrimming and latexing, casting various foods in latex, painting, and applying them to the wagon with hot glue. September 2007: Worked as a creative group supervisor at the "Get Cuthbert" feature film's challenge prop event. Tasks included working with a team of 15yr school pupils from the local area to help build props to be used in the "Get Cuthbert" film. July 2007: Worked on the CBBC show "Young Dracula". Assisted in creating fake intestines and a soft bodied foam skeleton to be used in the show. May - July 2007: I was given the opportunity to work on the CBBC children’s show "The Revenge Files of Alistair Fury". Duties included general runner work such as assisting with scenic painting and working in the props department. I was also trusted enough to be given creative control in designing a number of posters for the main characters bedroom and pet shop. Using Adobe Photoshop I came up with a number of designs for posters based on musicals and films such as "Chicago", "Les Miserables", and "Wizard of Oz". April 2007: Worked as part of a live project to design and build props for the "Get Cuthbert" feature film. Work included designing and making an accurate 9th century money box and decaying skeleton bones which would be crushed during a scene. March 2007: Work placement at the Scene Craft company. Duties included sculpting in polystyrene foam, fibre glassing, painting, and some woodwork. November 2007: Assisted in building and painting scenic flats, a bar, and phone box for the theatre production "Bugsy Malone" at the Arc Theatre in Stockton. June 2006: Worked in the art department on the independent film "Black Dog" by Director Ian Fenton. Worked on location and helped distress and break down some abandoned rooms to be ready for filming. May 2006: Constructed a replica Dalek from Dr. Who for a local school project. November 2005: Created costumes for lead character Oliver Twist in Gordon Steele’s Production of "Oliver Twist".
