Focus will also be on the development and the application of knowledge and skills necessary for the midwife in the provision of health care to women during postnatal period, newborns and their families. By utilizing the nursing process, current research findings and integrating the principles of reproductive health and safe motherhood. Demonstrate ability to apply the physiology underpinning holistic midwifery care through verbalization. 2. Assess and manage a postpartum and newborn care provision from an evidence-based perspective 3. Apply knowledge of postpartum assessment and diagnosis to provide appropriate care 4.
