How Do I Do It?
How Many Syllables- Write your words out, and then write out how many
syllables are in each word. (clap them out!)
Spelling Sentences- Write at least 10 creative sentences using no less than 10
spelling words.
Write A Story- Write an interesting story using at least 8 of your words.
Illustrate Your Words- Draw a picture for at least 8 of your words.
Rainbow Words- Write 10 of your spelling words using a different color!
More Sentences: Use three of your words in declarative statements, three in
interrogative statements, three in imperative, and three in exclamatory
statements. Don’t forget to write in cursive.
Vowel Search- Circle all the vowels in each word.
Hide Your Words- Hide 8 of your spelling words creatively in a nice drawing.
Funny Story- Write a funny story using at least 8 spelling words.
Friendly Letter- Write a friendly letter using at least 10 spelling words.
Find the Antonym/Synonym- Find a word that is either the opposite (Antonym)
or is similar (Synonym) to your spelling words. Chose 10 words please!
Guide Words: Using your dictionary, find 10 of your spelling words. Write
down the two guide words at the top of the dictionary page.
No Pencil Spelling- Use something other than a pencil to write your spelling
words.
Poetry on Paper- Use at least 10 spelling words in a poem.
Look it up-Look up 15 of your words in a dictionary and write the definition.
