Invertebrate Animal Project Due:_______________________ You are to do research on an invertebrate of your choice, from any of the following phyla: Porifera, Cnidaria, Ctenophora, Nematoda, Nemertea, Echiurea, Mollusca, Echinodermata, Annelida, Arthropoda, Platyhelminthes, or Tunica. You may do a video, powerpoint, brochure, poster, model, or anything else you come up with for the “physical” part of your project. Your presentation will need to be 5 to 7 minutes long. Reading from the board will remove 10% from your grade, and plagiarism will remove 50% from your grade, before I add up points for any other category. Use your partner to help you police yourself for both issues! You must include 5-10 images (pictures, graphs, etc.) or a large background drawing, have neatly written or typed text, include the full classification of your organism (kingdom through species), as well as its closest relative(s), and important information about the species. Also include any myths or folklore about the organism or its closest relatives. Note: Any video you have linked, that you do not make (or narrate) yourself, will NOT count towards your time for the presentation. Videos are an adjunct, not a replacement for your own speaking!
