China Video Summary
In the historical documentary, “Engineering an Empire-China”, on the History
Channel, the video explored the emperors, achievements, and dynasties of China.
The first topic is emperors. There were a lot of emperor in China, but there were
only two important emperors in China. The first important emperor was Shi
Huangdi, because he made the Great Wall of China. He used 1 million people to
built The Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China that Shi Huangdi built,
stretches 3,000 miles. Years later, he gathered all men in China to built a tomb.
In the tomb was an army of a clay soldiers. Each clay soldiers in the tomb was
about 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet 2 inches which was really tall at that time. The
tomb also had booby traps so no one can still anything. The second important
emperor was Yang Di, because he made The Grand Canal. He used 5 million
people to built The Grand Canal. There were two important achievements in
China. The first achievement is The Great Wall of China. It took 1 million people
to built The Great Wall of China. The Great Wall of China stretches 6,000 miles in
the Ming Dynasty, but only 3,000 miles when Shi Huangdi built it. The second
achievement is The Grand Canal. It took 5 million people to built the Grand Canal.
The Grand Canal stretches 1,103 miles. There were a lot of dynasties in China, but
there were only two important dynasties in China. The first dynasty was the Qin
Dynasty because The Great Wall of China was built. The second dynasty was the
Ming Dynasty because Zheng He built 300 ships and he sailed to 37 places. The
Chinese also rebuilt the wall using bricks and stones to make the wall stronger. I
would want to learn more about the Chinese army and Chinese’s religions.
