Map Lesson – Asia Grade Social Studies 7th Name__________________________________Date_______________Block_______ Introduction: You will construct a map of East Asia using the maps and information on pages 105, 107, 122, 128, 135, 152, 157, 516, 517 in your textbook. You may also use the classroom atlases p 152-169 to complete the assignment. You will also be using the computers both in the classroom and at home, if necessary, to answer the questions that may need further research. There will be no point deductions for artistic quality, but as always, try to be as neat as possible when creating your map. 1. Lightly shade in with blue the outline of all the major bodies of water. (2 points) Label the Tropic of Cancer and the Equator in blue. 2. Label all the countries in Asia that are located within the map coordinates in black ink. Remember to label all countries in capital letters. (30 points) Use abbreviations.
