Chapter 2: Properties of Real Numbers
Learning Goals
1. Students will understand the real number system and be
able to classify real numbers.
2. Students will be able to compare and order integers and
rational numbers.
3. Students will be able to perform basic operations, find
square roots, and apply properties to evaluate
expressions.
4. Students will be able to use the distributive property to
write equivalent expressions.

Ch.2 Pre-Test

Introduce Aleks goals and deadlines

Discuss FIRE questions (week 3)
Ch.2 Properties of Real Numbers (Inquiry Lesson)
-Students will utilize a KWL chart (based on pre-test)
to prepare for properties of real numbers

Assessments
Assessment on real numbers will take place as students complete a
pre-test, a KWL chart, daily homework problems, exit cards and nightly
homework.
