I. DESKRIPSI MATA KULIAH
This course offers the students to explore American culture, society, and history from the
First Contact until the Contemporary Multicultural Period. This knowledge is basic for
preparing the students to understanding how American culture is reflected in literature,
which is offered in American Culture and Literature II. The assessment is based on class
attendance and participation, group presentation, mid-term test, and final paper.
II. STANDARISASI KOMPETENSI MATA KULIAH
By the end of this course, students should be able to explore American culture, society,
and history from the First Contact until the Contemporary Multicultural Period.
