1. Given the line 5y= -3x+6 write an equation of a parallel line that passes through the point (5,1)
Remember parallel lines, same slope. Different y intercept
write and equation of a perpendicular line that passes through the points (3,1)

What is the relationship between a segment bisector and the segments midpoint?
The midpoint is the point in the middle; it’s where the segment bisector cuts the line segment.
Given a segment with endpoints
A (2, -5)
B (2 ,-1)
Find the midpoint of AB
Find the length of AB
Find the slope of AB
If two parallel lines are cut by a transversal
 Supplementary angles add to 180˚

Alternate interior angles are congruent

Corresponding angles are congruent

Alternate exterior angles are congruent


Vertical angles are formed by two intersecting lines and they are congruent
If two angles are complementary, their measures add to 90˚
AB and CD intersect at point E, mAEC  6 x  20 , and mDEB  10 x .
What is the mAED ?
Angles A and B form a linear pair. The measure of angle A is 18 more than twice the measure of angle B. Find
the measure of each angle.

The ratio of the measures of two complementary angles is 5:4.
What is the measure of the larger angle?
Line 1 contained the points A(2, -1) and B(6, 7).
Line 2 contained the points C(-3, -5) and D(5, -1).
Are Line 1 and Line 2 parallel, perpendicular or neither? Mathematically explain how you know.
