9-10 year old children’s papier-mâché puppets which they made for a puppet
show based on the history of the Armada
This work with the children was led by Steve Pratchett & Bed 4 Primary team teaching
students. The puppet heads are stuck onto broom handles and the arms operated by
doweling rods.
A child practises Queen Elizabeth’s famous speech at Tilbury as the Armada
approached. She also practises the puppet’s movements.
The children’s scripts for their puppet play pinned to the back of the puppet screen.
A Primary Bed 4 student gives some feedback on the children’s performance in rehearsals.
