by our explorers - China, Spain, America, Bahamas India etc.
Children will name and recognise on map, the major seas and the routes
taken by the explorers –Atlantic Ocean, Cape of Good Hope, Indian
Ocean, Bering Straits etc.

Children will carry out research on the ancient town of Pompeii. They will

affected Pompeii and will order them on a timeline.

Research the 79 AD eruption of Vesuvius and why the
inhabitants appeared to be curious but didn’t flee the town,
using school website link. Produce flip chart using
Activprimary 3 to show the findings of your groups.
