Spelling Menu Monday: Write spelling words 3 times each in your spelling notebook. Tuesday: Write 3 sentence using your spelling words in your spelling notebook. Friday: Spelling test in school today! See next page for Spelling Job List. Spelling Jobs (These can be completed in your spelling notebook or on a separate piece of paper.) 1. ABC order: Write spelling words in alphabetical order. 2. Story Writing: Write a story using at least 4 spelling words. Underline your words. 3. Spelling Pictures: Fold a piece of paper into 4 parts. Write a sentence using a spelling word and illustrate the sentence. 4. Rainbow Writing: Fold a piece of paper into 4 boxes. In each box write a spelling word with pencil. Using a marker or crayon rewrite the word on top of the pencil markings. 5. Spelling Word Collage: Cut letters from magazines or newspapers and glue them together to make each spelling word. 6. Word triangles: Create a triangle for each word. Put one word inside each triangle. 7. Colorful Spelling: Use crayons or markers to write your spelling words. 8. Keeping in Shape: Draw an outline of a simple shape. Write the spelling words in the shape. Write your words until the shape is filled. 9. Spelling Word Outline: Draw an outline of a picture. Write spelling words small around the outline of the picture. 10. Linked It Together: Create strips of paper. Write a spelling word on each strip. Staple or glue the strips together to make a paper chain. 11. Stuck on Spelling: Draw a bee on one corner of your paper. Draw a flower in a different corner. Write a spelling word path from the bee to the flower.
