... Determinate growth is also an important characteristic of leaves. In contrast to the indeterminate SAM from which leaf primordia arise, leaves are determinate organs, although a few exceptions exist (Rutishauser and Sattler, 1985). Members of the genera Monophyllaea and Streptocarpus (Gesneriaceae; ...

... Abstract: Vitamin D3 is one of the few natural compounds that has, via its metabolite 1␣,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 (1,25(OH)2D3) and the transcription factor vitamin D receptor (VDR), a direct effect on gene regulation. For efficiently applying the therapeutic and disease-preventing potential of 1,25(OH ...

... As you saw above, the sequence of the codons in the A isoform of tra are read from left to right relative to the orientation of contig1. This also means that the start of the protein is located toward the left of the end of the gene. However, recall that DNA is doublestranded, and that the two stran ...

NEDD9

Neural precursor cell expressed developmentally down-regulated protein 9 (NEDD-9) is a protein that in humans is encoded by the NEDD9 gene. NEDD-9 is also known as enhancer of filamentation 1 (EF1), CRK-associated substrate-related protein (CAS-L), and Cas scaffolding protein family member 2 (CASS2). An important paralog of this gene is BCAR1.
