Trigger Circuits

... As Vz is proportional to V0, all intermediate values can be easily calculated. Advantages of external trigger are: Small size, low cost components Low primary and secondary currents Disadvantages of external triggering are: Relatively high trigger delay time (approximately 10 5 s) Produces electroma ...

MEMS 1041 Rocket Thrust Test Report

... In order to design an adequate transducer, the expected magnitude and frequency of the input forces (time-dependent thrust from the rocket) needed to be quantified. A frequency analysis of the force versus time data provided by the manufacturer3 revealed that the frequency content of the expected in ...

Ignitron Driver Manual - Wide Bandwidth High Voltage Probes

... This accessory prevents positive voltages of greater than 3 kV from being applied to the trigger unit. Negative voltages are protected by diodes in the unit itself. Such voltages are sometimes applied to the ignitor during a ringing discharge. The current output is reduced by about 50 A when this bo ...

DRO-375 Hardware Manual

... The DRO-375 requires an external 5V DC regulated power supply. The power input is protected with a resettable fuse so connecting a power supply with the wrong voltage or polarity will not damage the board. If this occurs, disconnect the power and wait a few minutes for the fuse to reset itself. The ...

The DZERO Rack Monitor Module

... The Monitor Module appears to the MIL1553B controller as a normal MIL-1553B Remote Terminal that makes use of the subaddresses given in Table 2. The operation of the digitizer requires that the desired starting channel number be sent before the A-D is read out. This allows any selected group of chan ...

Immunity-aware programming

When writing firmware for an embedded system, immunity-aware programming refers to programming techniques which improve the tolerance of transient errors in the program counter or other modules of a program that would otherwise lead to failure. Transient errors are typically caused by single event upsets, insufficient power, or by strong electromagnetic signals transmitted by some other ""source"" device.Immunity-aware programming is an example of defensive programming and EMC-aware programming. Although most of these techniques apply to the software in the ""victim"" device to make it more reliable, a few of these techniques apply to software in the ""source"" device to make it emit less unwanted noise.
