... The current begins to ramp down at 90‫ﹾ‬Ccase temperature, shutting down at 100‫ﹾ‬C. (6) The controller keeps monitoring battery recharging voltage during regenerative braking, progressively cutting back current as battery voltage rises then cutting off regen altogether when voltage goes too high. ( ...

DRV8870 3.6-A Brushed DC Motor Driver (PWM

... The DRV8870 device is an optimized 8-pin device for driving brushed DC motors with 6.5 to 45 V and up to 3.6A peak current. The integrated current regulation restricts motor current to a predefined maximum. Two logic inputs control the H-bridge driver, which consists of four N-channel MOSFETs that h ...

What’s holding it back? ii) The battery voltage is, say 10V, and the specified motor resistance is, typically, 0.02 ohms, so why isn’t the motor now taking 500 amps (10V divided by 0.02 ohms)? Well, the reason for both the above is that electric motors, once spinning, also b ...

Stepper motor

A stepper motor or step motor or stepping motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps. The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps without any feedback sensor (an open-loop controller), as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application in respect to torque and speed.Switched reluctance motors are very large stepping motors with a reduced pole count, and generally are closed-loop commutated.
