IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) 1 Differences Between MOSFET and IGBT
IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) 1 Differences Between MOSFET and IGBT

... The conductivity of the resistor on the base branch is increased (modulated) when the IGBT is turned-on. This way, the greater part of the load current is flowing over the base branch. These effects only show for the user by a turn-on delay time and a tail current at turn-off. For this reason, the d ...

... It is also important to note how abruptly a dielectric breakdown occurs. This is shown in Figure 6. The same breakdown as shown in Figure 5 has been expanded 50,000 times - the time base on the scope has been changed from 5 mS (milliseconds) to 100 nS (nanoseconds) in order to “zoom in” on the brea ...

This voltage supply has to provide enough current to pull the source-follower resistors and positive grid current up to the most-positive drive voltage. Stepper motor

A stepper motor or step motor or stepping motor is a brushless DC electric motor that divides a full rotation into a number of equal steps. The motor's position can then be commanded to move and hold at one of these steps without any feedback sensor (an open-loop controller), as long as the motor is carefully sized to the application in respect to torque and speed.Switched reluctance motors are very large stepping motors with a reduced pole count, and generally are closed-loop commutated.
