... Genes encode proteins, and changes in amino acids of those proteins may change a phenotype. Multiple alleles exist for many genes, because there are many sites within a gene where introduction of a mutation will alter the protein product. Consequences of multiple alleles in human genetic disorders i ...

Inheritance of Protein Content and Grain Yield in Half Diallel
Inheritance of Protein Content and Grain Yield in Half Diallel

... Inheritance of maize grain yield and quality depends on knowledge of the genetic mechanism governing related traits. Diallel cross technique developed by Hayman(1954) and Jinks(1954). Hayman (1954) and Jinks (1954) developed diallel cross technique that provides information on the inheritance mechan ...

Even though it is eukaryotic form it can be handled by standard genet ...

Nutriepigenomics

Nutriepigenomics is the study of food nutrients and their effects on human health through epigenetic modifications. There is now considerable evidence that nutritional imbalances during gestation and lactation are linked to non-communicable diseases, such as obesity, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and cancer. If metabolic disturbances occur during critical time windows of development, the resulting epigenetic alterations can lead to permanent changes in tissue and organ structure or function and predispose individuals to disease.
