... lenses are composed of is several times larger for state 兩3典 than for state 兩1典. The lenses can therefore be considered to have a negligible ac-Stark effect on the state-兩3典 wave-packet component as compared to the state-兩1典 component. This is important, because in a practical situation the separati ...

... phase conjugation (OPC) is a promising technique to compensate the nonlinear damage [27]. Compensation for nonlinearity by OPC is limited by the asymmetry of the strength of the Kerr effect along the fiber with respect to the OPC position [28],[29]. In order to defeat the nonlinearity impairments to ...

Compact Optical Fiber Amplifier

... Generally, optical fiber amplifiers are categorized according to signal wavelength ranges: C-band (approximately 1530~1560 nm) and L-band (approximately 1570~1605 nm), or applications: booster amplifier, inline amplifier and preamplifier. In the case of compact optical fiber amplifiers, they should ...

Since type (ii) bears just this sort of relationship to type (i), it seems reasonable that both should be termed arfvedsonite. It is clear from the absorption formulae given above that, but for the re- ...

Nonimaging optics

Nonimaging optics (also called anidolic optics) is the branch of optics concerned with the optimal transfer of light radiation between a source and a target. Unlike traditional imaging optics, the techniques involved do not attempt to form an image of the source; instead an optimized optical system for optical radiative transfer from a source to a target is desired.
