Op-Amp Applications
Op-Amp Applications

... A perfect op-amp would output exactly zero volts with both its inputs shorted together and grounded. However, most op-amps off the shelf will drive their outputs to a saturated level, either negative or positive even if the op-amp in question has zero common-mode gain (infinite CMRR). This deviation ...

... Schottky diodes use a metal-semiconductor junction as opposed to the semiconductorsemiconductor junctions used in standard diodes. This configuration allows for lower forward bias voltage drops (0.15V - 0.45V vs. 0.5-0.7V) and faster switching times, making them ideal for power supply switching oper ...

In contrast, the electrical isolation option of FMVSS No. 305 does not allow more than 10 mA of DC body current and 2 mA AC body current at either 1 second, 0.5 seconds, or 10 msec shock duration. The agency thus believes that the low-energy option would result in a higher risk level than that ...

DEM 1296-144 23 cm Transverter, and Transverter Kits

... Down East Microwave’s new 23 cm Transverter and kits are now available. The transverter, the DEM1296-144 may be ordered with many different IF and RF configurations as well as a 28MHz IF version. Substitute 28 for the 144 in the part number. The 1296-144 transverter has both a RF and IF switch built ...

Opto-isolator

In electronics, an opto-isolator, also called an optocoupler, photocoupler, or optical isolator, is a component that transfers electrical signals between two isolated circuits by using light. Opto-isolators prevent high voltages from affecting the system receiving the signal. Commercially available opto-isolators withstand input-to-output voltages up to 10 kV and voltage transients with speeds up to 10 kV/μs.A common type of opto-isolator consists of an LED and a phototransistor in the same opaque package. Other types of source-sensor combinations include LED-photodiode, LED-LASCR, and lamp-photoresistor pairs. Usually opto-isolators transfer digital (on-off) signals, but some techniques allow them to be used with analog signals.
