QUASAR PROJECT KIT 3088 - 10W + 10W STEREO AMPLIFIER

... The circuit is very straight forward. Most of the circuitry is contained within the amplifier module. C1 & C2 are input coupling capacitors and block DC, as do C10 & C11 which are the output coupling capacitors, and C6 & C7 which block DC from the feed back loop. R1/R2 (and R3/R4) set the level of f ...

... frequency can be predicted by knowing the gain setting. For example, at a gain setting of 1000, bw = 1 kHz, and at 10, bw = 100 kHz. It is sometimes desirable to intentionally limit the amplifier frequency response in order to minimize the effect of high frequency noise. The input stage of the V/F c ...

Buck converter

A buck converter is a voltage step down and current step up converter. The simplest way to reduce the voltage of a DC supply is to use a linear regulator (such as a 7805), but linear regulators waste energy as they operate by dissipating excess power as heat. Buck converters, on the other hand, can be remarkably efficient (95% or higher for integrated circuits), making them useful for tasks such as converting the main voltage in a computer (12V in a desktop, 12-24V in a laptop) down to the 0.8-1.8V needed by the processor.
