... cable disconnected. This is often a rather ineffective method, because without a current draw the magnetic properties of the conductors are not exercised. Shorting one end of the cable will generate a current flow and force the voltage to zero. The FryKleaner’s maximum output signal level of +10dBu ...

... is a differential charge amplifier consisting of a dual, lownoise FET and two, high-gain IC operational amplifiers (Fig. 1). The lower limiting frequency of 1 Hz is determined by a filter network around the input amplifier which provides a 40 dB/decade fall-off in response over the decade 1 Hz to 0. ...

... inexpensive that can deliver up to a 1000 fold gain. This high level of gain is required for a device such as this due to the fact that the neural impulses will be very weak when being measure from the skin. The OP-90 component is a general purpose op amp. Quoting from the brainmaster plans, “The in ...

... The output voltage of the clamper is a net result of ac and dc input voltages applied to the inverting and non-inverting input terminals respectively. Therefore, to understand the circuit operation, each input must be considered separately. First, consider Vref at the non-inverting input. Since thi ...

Tube sound

Tube sound (or valve sound) is the characteristic sound associated with a vacuum tube-based audio amplifier. After introduction of solid state amplifiers, tube sound appeared as the logical complement of transistor sound, which had some negative connotations due to crossover distortion of early transistor amplifiers. The audible significance of tube amplification on audio signals is a subject of continuing debate among audio enthusiasts. Many electric guitar, electric bass, and keyboard players in several genres also prefer the sound of tube instrument amplifiers or preamplifiers.
