Interval - the distance between two notes; always count the first note as one.
1. The lowest note is "1"
2. Count each line and space
3. The number that the higher note is counted as is the size of the interval. (2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.)
Half Step - the distance to the next nearest note
Whole Step - two half steps (one note in the middle)
Scale Degree - indicates the location of the note in a scale
Order of the SHARPS - F#, C#, G#, D#, A#, E#, B#
Order of the FLATS - Bb. Eb, Ab, Db, Gb, Cb, Fb

Find the key and put an X on it
Put an X on the last key
Write the letter names under the white keys
Write the Scale Degrees under the letters
Write the formula under the Scale Degrees
Apply the formula (put Xs on the keys)
