Student Review for Human Genetics, Patterns of Heredity, and Pedigrees Exam Exam will be on Wednesday, March 11th for Even classes and Thursday March 12th for Odd Classes. Things you should focus on while studying… 1. Practice using punnett squares and solving genetics problems (I have some for extra practice) 2. Be able to identify incomplete dominance and codominance when given examples. 3. Predict the possible or probable genotypic and phenotypic outcomes of offspring when crossing parent organisms that are heterozygous and homozygous dominant or recessive. (again, I have sample problems) 4. Identify genotypes as homozygous dominant, recessive or heterozygous. 5. Determine the parents of babies when given blood types of the parents and babies in question. 6. Understand and explain Mendel’s Laws of Inheritance 7. Explain what makes males male and females female. 8. Know our diploid and haploid number. 9. Know what gametes are, what process makes them, how many chromosomes (diploid or haploid) they have in them. 10. Be able to predict the probability of having a boy or a girl using a punnett square. 11.
