The American Lung Association in Oregon COPD Educator Institute (COPD EI) is a two-day professional
development course for healthcare professionals to learn best practices in COPD management and patient care.
The aim of the course is to reduce hospital readmissions and improve patient outcomes, with specific attention
given to COPD self-management, smoking cessation, pulmonary rehabilitation, developing action plans,
medication guidelines and patient adherence, and patient education resources.

Includes take-home materials, continental
breakfast and lunch. Please note that overnight
accommodations are not included.
