CO2 emissions worldwide, and this contribution
is increasing

Clean Development Mechanism

Entry point for developing countries is through
the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM)

Projects take place in developing (host)
countries that reduce GHG emissions, contribute
to sustainable development, and the carbon
reduction credits (CERs) are transferred to
investing country

only 5 are transportation…of those,
none address travel demand


a sustainable transportation sector e.g. Chile
