important because it allows
you to use rational numbers to
symbolize real world events

Rational Numbers are numbers that can be
written as fractions, including terminating and
repeating decimals, and integers.

Integers are whole numbers and their opposites.

Negative integers are integers less than zero.

Positive integers are integers greater than zero.

