Context:
Electrical products often break due to lots of small parts and
fragile electrical components, these repairs can be
expensive and often unnecessary as the fault is simply
caused by a ‘blown fuse’.
Context:- is the problem that has to be
solved.
Brief:- is what you will do to solve the
problem.
Specifications:- a list of things your
product must fulfil. The specification list is
what you will use to evaluate your
product against when you have finished.
What kind of people could use a fuse tester?
Why would they need it?
What will make them want your fuse tester?
Brief:
To design and make an electrical device to test is a fuse is working that can be used by ……………………………
..................................................................................………………………………………………………………………………...
Exploring
the task
Use the information you have learned to write a list of specifications for your fuse tester.
Remember:- these specifications must match your design brief.
The fuse tester must:

The steps to soldering have all gotten muddled up can you put them in the correct order and match the
sentences below to the correct picture?
Step 1.
Twist the parts together
Heat the 2 parts to be joined
Slowly push the solder into the hot
area
Leave it too cool and harden.
Tin the tip of the soldering iron with
solder
Clean the tip of the soldering iron
on a damp sponge

How can I draw in isometric?
You can use the lines drawn for you to help make an isometric cuboide for your
packaging design. Then have a go at drawing your own using the rest
of the page.
Remember: Your design must include the things from your starter worksheet. And,
You must evaluate each of your ideas.

1.
Look at the sentences below and tick the ones that you think apply to your game:
Level 3


Your circuit is complete but may 
need a simple adjustment to work.
Your product can stand up without
falling apart.

Level 4
You safely produce a working circuit with 
good soldering that has been secured
into the casing.

You pay attention to the quality of finish 
and how well your product works
Level 5
Your product will be neatly made and
assembled.
Your soldering will all be nearly perfect.
Your product is well finished with added
decoration
2.
What level did you get up to? ____________
3.
What could you do to improve this level? ______________________________________________________________
