Objectives of Mechatronics SWG
To go into the details of the Mechatronics partners’
map
To find out:
• the good/best practices
• the Centres of Competence
To further acquaintance among the clusters’ partners
and to explore opportunities for matchmaking;
To propose the tools which foster cooperation among
the Companies.
To identify:
• the tools in order to develop co-operation
and joint work in the Mechartonics sector;
• the Centres of Competence and Services;
• areas of expertise in the Institutional
cooperation.
Friuli Venezia Giulia
The Mchatronics is one of the most important
sector in the region in terms of:
- number of companies
- active labour force
- value of exports contribution to the regional GDP
Metallurgy
67 Companies
Manufacture of Metal Products
2297 Companies
Manufacture of Machinery and Equipment 668 Companies
10 centres in the Region are setting up the Industrial Park of
the Region. The exports of this sector is equal to 38% of the
regional GDP.

Bulgarian Economic Forum
Mechatronic cluster established in 2006 as a legal non-profit
organisation; head office: Sofia, Regional Centre
Members are: 14 high-tech production companies, scientific
bodies in the instrument-building and Non-government
organization
Exported market: Europe, United State, Brazil, Taiwan, South
Korea, India and Mexico.
Cluster development:
-Enlargement of the cluster and acceptance new members
-Establishing with public bodies
-Creating contact with foreign partners
Maribor Development Agency
- neither official Mechatronics Cluster in area, nor big
companies
- potential for creation of a regional network is provided:
TECES / technology centre, university, SMEs
- ADC project activities to be used as prefeasibility activity
for creation of a regional network
Target Group: SMEs and Institutions both in Prodravje
region and In Slovenia
Structure of regional partners: MDA, Regional Chamber of
commerce and industry and of craft, TECES technology
centre, Agency for International marketing and EEN network
at national level.
Centre for Promotion of Entrepreneurship Piran
Cluster potential in the region: no official cluster in the
Mechatronics filed, potential for creation of a network, ADC
project would be good opportunity
Target group to be involved: SMEs and institutions
both in the coastal region and Slovenia, animation to be
implemented in cooperation within other Slovenian networks
Structure of regional partners:
• coastal regional development agency
• regional chamber of Commerce and industry
• local chamber of craft
• EEn Koper

Brasov Transilvania University
Research Departments: High Precision Mechanics and
Mechatronics, Process Control Systems, Advanced Electrical
Systems
Main objective: Development of the complex activities for high
performance Mechatronic systems with applications in industry
and medicine
Specific objective Development of high performance
Mechatronics system used in automation and manufacturing;
Modelling, designing and testing of the measuring intelligent
systems

technologies developed in the university environment
towards industry through physical or virtual incubation of
SMEs
- Analysis of the electronic technology evolution and
assumption of the knowledge and technologies from industry
in order to develop the technical base as support for
increasing the efficiency for activities in university
environment.
The five best practices have been presented
at the first meeting by:
- FVG region: Mr. Nicolò Ghandelli from COMET scrl
- Veneto regione: Mrs. Roberta D’orazio from the
Veneto district of the Industrial refrigeration and Mr.
Simone Franzolin from Nord Packaging district from
Prodenone
- Emilia Romagna Regione: Mr. Davide Bezzecchi
from “Club Meccatronica”, and Mr. Umberto Perati
from DemoCentre.
What is the objective of the second
Mechatronics SWG?
• To identify the Machatroics sub-sector and
specialization that should both be of interest and
necessary for the development of your territory
• Anything that helps to form the clusters and ways to
promote the skills of the clusters
• Results of your RWGs with Clusters /SMEs/
Companies/Association that want to participate in
PEV.
