A. 1 The maximum load that can be backed up using Newfoundland Power’s mobile substations is 50 MVA. Newfoundland Power has two mobile substations, units P4 and P5, that are both capable of backing up a 50 MVA substation transformer at the 138 kV/25 kV voltage rating that exists at GFS Substation.1 Cold load pickup must be taken into account when using a portable substation to replace a regular substation transformer.
