Bio Tango² = Tango x Tango. Are you asking Yourself a question, what does it mean and where is the musical meaning of it? Well simply is enough when you imagine two musical instruments necessery for tango – bandoneon and violin, multiply them and you will get brilliant combination of two musicians, who while playing are exponentiating their musical skills, so tango is complete. Have you still not understood? We have got a solution for you. Why don' t you listen to a musical examples and let two compactible musicians to be „delivered" to you by post. Tango²Cuadrado then fills your hall with some square meters of excelent music and your experience will double up. Tango²Cuadrado was established in February 2011. In Salzburg (AT) for the first time showed off its qualities. The members of this project are Martin Chovanec and Jozef Ostrolucky. Tango²Cuadrado plays old (dancing) tango, milonga and tango vals in original arrangements, and also famous compositions by Astor Piazzolla. Regular guest of this duo is great Argentinian singer Oscar Ernesto Ovejero. MARTIN CHOVANEC - BANDONEON, MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS. He studied accordion at the Conservatory of J.L.Bella in Banská Bystrica in the class of Martin Vaculčiak and later at the Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava in the class of Boris Lenko (2000 – 2005).During his studies he performed as a soloist or as a member of chamber ensembles at many concerts and festivals in Slovakia and abroad (Poland, The Czech Republic, Austria, France, Hungary). Since November 2007 he plays bandonion. In the same year he founded the Porque Tango Ensemble (bandonion, violin, piano, double bass) specialised in interpretation of Tango Argentina music. In 2010 he performed with Orchestra Berg under the baton of Peter Vrabel in the Czech premier of "Open doors" for bandonion and orchestra by Bernd Franke, the composer. In the same year he performed as a soloist with the Slovak sinfonietta Žilina under the baton of David Hernando Rico the Slovak premier of Misa a Buenos Aires by Martin Palmeri, the argetinian composer.At present, Martin is a member of several music bands and projects in Slovakia and Austria. JOZEF OSTROLÚCKY - VIOLIN. He studied violin at the Conservatory in Bratislava, which he finished in 2007 and later at the Academy of Musical and Dramatic Arts in Bratislava in the class of Mgr. Alexander Jablokov. He attended international master classes in Písek (The Czech Republic) under conduction of Jindřich Pazdera, with focus on classical music. Since 2008 he has been a member of Porque Tango Ensemble in which he is specialised in interpretation of traditional Argentinean tango as well as compositions of Astor Piazzolla. With this ensemble he performed concerts in Slovakia as well as abroad (Czech Republik, Austria, Germany...) Also he is a member of chamber music groups in which he concentrates on interpretation of classical music and with this groups he performed in Mexico and Japan.
