The faculty in the School of Business at West Virginia Wesleyan College is searching for a fulltime, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Marketing, to begin in August 2015. Teaching
assignments are primarily upper-level Marketing and MBA courses, and encompass such topics
as marketing research and strategy, consumer behavior, advertising and public relations, as well
as seminars in contemporary topics such as social media and global marketing. Options to teach
during May and Summer Terms may also be available.
Duties include:
undergraduate teaching load of four courses per semester (typically three preps)
collaboration on curricular enhancements and decisions
assessment of student learning and continual improvement
student advising and scheduling
participation in school and college-level administrative governance
continuing development of scholarly and professional capabilities
Required Qualifications:
PhD in Marketing from accredited college or university, at the time of appointment (or
completion anticipated by end of Spring Semester 2015)
Undergraduate teaching experience in marketing
Preferred Qualifications:
Business or nonprofit experience in marketing
Graduate-level teaching experience
Experience in collaborative educational activities
The School of Business offers undergraduate majors in Accounting, Business Administration,
Economics, Management, Marketing, Sport Business, and a Master of Business Administration.
