Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services: Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care A comprehensive rehabilitation program is provided onsite through RPI Therapy Services (Rehabilitation Professionals, Inc.) Residents are assisted in their goals for maintaining independence through the efforts of an interdisciplinary team of caring, experienced rehabilitation professions. Physical Therapy: - Addresses impaired movement caused by disease or injury - Improves the ability to walk, transfer, and manage stairs - Helps improve endurance and strength through exercises - Treats swelling, joint pain, limited range of motion - Improves balance, helps to minimize fall risk - Instructs in safe use of cane, walker and other assistive devices Occupational Therapy: - Addresses functional skills such as dressing, bathing, toileting - Improves ability to transfer in / out of the tub, shower, bed and car - Treats swelling, joint pain, muscle weakness and in-coordination in the arm or hand - Instructs in techniques to compensate for loss of vision or impaired perceptual skills - Improves endurance through energy conservation techniques, pacing and proper breathing - Addresses ability to complete home management tasks Speech Therapy: - Improves swallowing skills through muscular strengthening and other techniques. - Addresses expressive and receptive communication skills - Offers Mental Fitness program designed to sharpen thinking skills and memory - Provides Lee Silverman Voice Treatment for Parkinson’s patients A physician’s order is needed for therapy services. RPI accepts Medicare and most other private insurances.
