Computer Compatibility Guidelines for School of Nursing Students Page 1 of 2 Computer Compatibility Requirements If you would like to access CTools from home, you’ll need a computer with the following features. Keep in mind: • You may use either a Windows compatible computer (e.g., Dell, HP, Compaq, IBM, Gateway) or a Macintosh. • There are many computers available on campus for you to use if your home computer doesn’t meet these requirements. If your home computer is too old or your connection is too slow to easily use CTools, make plans to download readings, upload homework, etc. from campus. • It is your responsibility to be sure your computer and software are compatible with your professors’ computers – it’s not their responsibility to convert your files into a usable format. • “My computer ate my homework” is not a permissible excuse for missing assignments. Be sure to back up your homework and projects frequently.
