About the District:
The Turlock Mosquito Abatement District is a special district established in 1946 to protect public
health by reducing the risk of disease transmission and provide relief from the nuisance caused by
mosquitoes. The District provides service to cities such as Ceres, Hughson, Grayson, Newman,
Patterson and Turlock and the unincorporated areas within the southern portion of Stanislaus County.
Job Opportunity:
The Part Time Office Clerk will perform routine office work supporting the Administrative Asst/Clerk of
the Board.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older
Have a High school diploma or its equivalent.
Have a valid California Driver’s License
Individual must be insurable by the District’s insurance carrier.
If selected for an interview a recent (less than 10 days old) DMV printout will be required.
Experience: General office duties include but are not limited to:
Answering the telephone (e.g. taking service requests, routing calls to recipient, etc.)
Data Entry (Microsoft Office)
Working knowledge of office equipment such as: computer, copier/printer, and scanner.

Medical Testing:
Person selected for employment must pass a pre-employment physical and drug test administered by
the District’s physician prior to being hired.
