1 – Overall Aims of Course:
The course is concerned with study of the fundamental principles of chemistry
of aliphatic compounds.
Laboratory work:
The laboratory work involves identification of aliphatic compounds.
2. Intended Learning Outcomes of Course (ILOs)
i- Knowledge and Understanding:
By the end of this course the student should know and
understand the theoretical basis of:
Organic chemistry and the type organic chemical reactions
involved.
Methods of identification of aliphatic compounds.
ii- Intellectual Skills
By the end of this course the student should be able to;
Write the structure and name of organic compounds. Draw the possible
isomer. The students are able to understanding the reaction mechanisms and
effect of condition on the type of products
.
iii- Professional and Practical Skills
By the end of this course the student should be able
