Eucalyptus rudis subsp. rudis

Flowers winter and spring
Eucalyptus rudis subsp. rudis is a tree up to 20m
tall. It is found fringing swamps and water
courses.
The leaves are up to 120mm long and 30mm wide
The flowers are white, the colour arising from the
numerous stamens. There are up to 11 flowers in
each cluster. The buds are conical both above
and below.
It has rough grey bark on the trunk and smooth
grey bark on the branches.
The fruits are soemwhat bell shaped up 60 6mm
long and 15mm wide. Each has 4-6 valves which
extend just beyon the top fo the fruit.
