Achillea ‘Strawberry Seduction’, No.1 – Sturdy budded stems are surrounded by ferny green foliage that fills
the pots. Very soon the long-lasting red flowers with small yellow centers will be seducing butterflies (and
customers).
Astilbe ‘Visions’, No.1 & No.2 – Thick spikes with mauve-pink buds are emerging above rich glossy green
foliage and about to become hallucination-inducing rose-pink blooms.
Campanula ‘Birch Hybrid’, 1 Qt. – Lavender-blue bell-shaped flowers are starting to appear on the low
growing spreading foliage. Flowers will continue all summer with occasional trims.
Coreopsis ‘Zagreb’, No.2 – This is another one to enjoy all summer with masses of golden yellow blooms that
will cover the ferny foliage for weeks. Budded and packing the pots!
Dicentra eximia, No.1 – Our native bleeding heart is just right for adding simple beauty to filtered shade. It’s
delicate light blue-green foliage compliments the long blooming rose-pink hearts. Budded and blooming!
Digitalis mertonensis, No.1 & No.2 – Strawberry foxglove is a favorite for its shorter spikes of dusky-pink
flowers and hefty dark green leaves. Foliage looks great!
Echinacea ‘Cleopatra’, No.1 – Lemon yellow coneflowers are just beginning to pop up from the compact
foliage. Pretty and fragrant too!
Helenium Mariachi™ ‘Fuego’, No.1 – Not long before the good-looking foliage is on fire with bold-colored
flowers that have yellow-tipped deep orange petals and a yellow ring surrounding the brown cone.
Hemerocallis ‘Little Grapette’, No.1 – Attractive strappy foliage with buds and a few deep rose-purple
blooms.
Heuchera ‘Plum Pudding’, No.2 – Gorgeous burgundy foliage with a silvery overlay is filling out and over
the pots!
Hot HGTV Essential Perennials this week: you will be doing a cheer for Coreopsis Lemon Pom -poms™;
