Caves
By Tony Camarena
Primary caves
• Some caves formed at the same time as the rock that
surrounds it
• Typical primary caves are lava tubes, blister caves, tufa
caves and reef caves
• If the liquid lava inside the crust flows out, a hollow tube
remains which is the lava tube
• Lava tubes are formed by volcanic activity ( most
common primary caves )
• Kazumura cave is the longest and deepest lava tube in
the world ( located in Hawaii )
