8-Pin High Efficiency Resonant
Half-Bridge Control ICs
The 8-pin resonant half-bridge control ICs were
designed for energy efficient Switch Mode Power
Supplies (SMPS) used in LCD televisions and
monitors, home theater systems, desktop computers,
printers and game console applications.
Features
• Max 500 kHz per channel output with 50%
duty cycle
• Floating channel bootstrap operation up to
+600VDC
• Programmable minimum and maximum
switching frequency
• Programmable soft start frequency and soft
start time
• Programmable dead time
• Micropower start-up and ultra low quiescent
current
• Over-current protection using low-side
MOSFET Rds(on)
• User initiated micropower “sleep mode”
• 8-pin IC, simple design with minimal
component count

Advantages
• The IRS2795(1,2)S resonant half-bridge control ICs offer a high
level of programmability and protection. Features include
programmable switching frequency up to 500 kHz with 50 percent
fixed duty cycle, programmable soft start frequency and soft start
time, and programmable dead time for optimized Zero Voltage
Switching (ZVS) under all load conditions to achieve high efficiency
and low switching noise.
• The dead time is programmed by the CT capacitor. The
programmable dead time allows the user to optimize the system
with the minimum body diode conduction time for higher efficiency
under full load while keeping ZVS switching under no load
condition.
