Acne
----------------------------------------------------------Acne, one of the most common skin problems, which
can happen to anyone
Acne is called "a symbol of youth" because it is mainly
experienced by adolescents, but acne is actually one of
the most common skin problems, and can happen to
anybody, including women in their 30s-40s and men
who are under a lot of stress.
What is a Acne?
Acne is an inflammatory skin problem that takes place in the sebum glands
attached to hair follicles. Though it generally occurs on the face, acne can be
found on any part of the body with many sebum glands, including the neck, the
back and the chest.
The light acne that takes place during puberty is thought of as temporary, but
serious acne can leave permanent scars. For this reason, it is important to seek
proper treatment for acne as early as possible.
Main causes of acne by age group
Adolescence
People begin to get acne as the subem glands become mature by the
stimulation of androgen, and send out too much sebum.
20s ~ 50s
When sebum isn’t excreted well due to makeup, menstruation or pregnancy, or
when steroid increases due to stress or lack of sleep and stimulates the sebum
glands, people can get acne.
Other
Stress, sun exposure, season (production of sebum gets active during summer),
popping acne, industrial oil and chemical substances, food-iodine, medicine
(steroid, drugs for tuberclosis and epilepsy), menstruation cycle, pregnancy
and contraceptives containing antibody hormones can cause acne.
Targets of acne treatment!
1) Patients who want to prevent early acne from worsening
2) Patients with serious inflammatory acne
3) below the nose to the upper lip equals half of the length from
the chin to the bottom lip.
4) Patients who want to recover their skin from acne scars
Type of ACNE
1. White head
A white 1~2mm granule forms just beneath the surface of the skin.
This is a result of the sebum hardening within the pore which then begins to
protrude out of the pore.
This formation is called the closed comedo or white head.
Whiteheads are formed by skin oil and cells that gather and harden on the face.
These are formed when
the sebaceous glands secrete excessive sebum. The excess oils find their way
outside the skin through sebaceous follicles and, combined with cells that have
flaked down from around these passages, settle
on the follicle ends, becoming a plug that blocks the skin pores. The continuous
flow of oils and dead cells accumulate and fill the follicles at bulging point
showing up on the surface of the skin as tiny, whitish dots called whiteheads.
2. Black head
lackhead is whitehead getting bigger, the pore becomes bigger and then turns
into blackhead. This is
often called as open comedo or black head. For this reason, this type of
formation is called an open
comedo or a black head.
The basis of acne treatment is to minimize the initial formation of fine comedos.
Treating acne infection is comparable to treating the symptoms of a cold.
However, preventing the formation of comedos in the initial stage can treat the
origin of the cause. The formation of comedos can be prevented by continuous
removal
of sebum and dead skin cells in order to open up the pores.
3. Papule
The proliferation of acne bacteria in a whitehead or blackhead initiates an
inflammatory response. Slight pain may accompany the redness. This red
pimple is called a papule which creates bumpy texture on the skin surface.
When Acne became red you will need professional treatment to cure it.
4) Pustle.
papule is a solid raised skin lesion with a distinct borders. Papules may have
different of shapes and is sometimes associated with other features such as
crusts
The progression of ACNE
1. White heads and black heads (20 inside)
when you have whitehead and blackhead, makeup won't wear as well. The Tzone will have a lot of acne

Home care
Clean the face with a neutral cleanser. Cleansing the face may not help much
for acne that has already
formed but careless cleansing may make the condition worse. It is best to
cleanser your face in lukewarm water while minimizain stimulation. If not careful,
an infection may be induced. Blackheads may be squee
zed by using cotton pads or cotton swabs. Squeezing out blackheads with your
fingers may damage tissue and cause scarring.
2) There are a lot harder Whitehead
If you have a lot of hard whitehead all around your face

Home care
t is best to restrain from touching your face with your hands and cleanse your
face thoroughly with a non-stimulating cleanser. Gentle removal of dead skin
cells with a steam towel on a regular basis is effective.
3) Non-severe inflammatory acne (1~2 papules, 5~6 pustules)
Red acnes all over the face

Home care
The best home treatment for acne is to prevent further infection by blocking out
the cause. Also try not to put make up and put face mask. Also don’t touch
your face and try not to squeeze them out because it will just hurt and make it
worse and leave scars. It is infected inside so even if you try to do anything
outside the face, it won't help.
4) Infected pustular acne (5~6 papules, 20 pustules, 5~6 nodes)
It keeps getting infected and is getting inflamated


Acne Treatment
People can have clean and healthy skin through skin managment, not through
the use of makeup.
Mirae Skin Care Clinic will provide the best medical services to give our patients
clean and beautiful skin.
1. Acne Treatment
Acne is an inflammatory disease that occurs because of the acne virus, which
is caused by pores being closed due to the development of the sebum glands.
It is important to prevent acne viruses from growing by maintaining open pores
without stimulating the sebum glands and worsening inflammation.
The treatment period differs according to the type of acne, and treatment
should be conducted for a considerable period of time, one or two months at
least. Depending on the patient’s conditions, acne scars can be removed
through chemical peeling or laser treatment, and treatment of inflammation
should be conducted earlier than the treatment of scars.
2. Types of ACNE
1) Squeezing-out treatment
Acne comedonica, if neglected, can become inflammatory acne,
so acne comedonica should be prevented from developing to
inflammatory acne by popping. The squeezing-out treatment
should be conducted after opening pores by doing a steam
massage and then supplying moisture to the skin.
Opening pores closed by sebum through the squeezing-out
treatment to promote the production of sebum by peeling can calm
acne and promote regeneration of the skin by helping the
production of sebum and waste.
2) Scaling (peeling)
Scaling, the shallowest type of chemical peeling, removes the layer
of dead skin cells using chemicals. In acne treatment, removing
the dead skin cell layer promotes the absorption of drugs and gets
rid of the dead cell layer. As a result, sebum is excreted smoothly
and new skin cells grow, making the skin soft.
To treat serious acne, laser scaling, a combination of laser punch
and peeling, is highly effective, and can cleanly remove acne
through three or four procedures.
The scaling procedure does not have immediate effects. The skin
begins to peel and dead cells begin to drop about two or three
days after the procedure. Acne will gradually improve through
about four treatments.
