Eligibility Criteria
Patients > 14 years
Referrals triaged at Frankston hospital and patients allocated for treatment at Rosebud or
Frankston Hospitals after this.
Patients must have a specialist referral initially. GPs may be requested to write ongoing referrals
to the clinic

All new patient’s referred for chemotherapy are also referred for a Pre - Chemotherapy
appointment. This includes:
o Pre-treatment assessment and education
o Discussion of treatment plan, diagnosis and planned drug regime (including
frequency and number of planned cycles), antiemetic regime, discharge
medications, blood tests, investigations .and symptom management.
o When to contact the unit and what to look out for during treatment
