Benefits: Medical/Dental 401k Match Sick/Personal/Vacation Time Off Holidays Responsibilities: Creates user information solutions by developing, implementing, and maintaining COBOL software on IBM iSeries platforms Collaborate with other team members to complete projects within scope, within budget, and on time Defines system objectives by analyzing user requirements; envisioning system features and functionality Determines database structural requirements by analyzing client operations, applications, and programming; reviewing objectives; evaluating current systems Develops database solutions by designing proposed systems; defining database physical structure and functional capabilities, security, back-up, and recovery specifications Code, test, and debug new software, as well as perform maintenance and enhancements to existing software Adheres to all company policies and standards as they relate to software design, development, testing, and deployment 1|Page Qualifications: Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a COBOL developer Must be experienced with DB2 database development and environments Highly proficient in all phases of the software development lifecycle Creating functional and design specifications Developing software in a modular, configurable, platform-independent manner Creating and executing system test plans Implementing software solutions in a customer production environment Proficient in debugging software and database code Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.
