Coralline Algae

size: about 14cm (5.5 in) long
Habitat: Generally found in all areas surrounding Haystack Rock and the Needles.
This species is the branching variety but other species lay flat and encrust the rocks. Color
ranges from pink to purple. Look and feel the alga as it is hard and segmented.
