Milk Marketing Scholarship Application
The National Dairy Shrine/DMI Milk Marketing Scholarship is to encourage qualified
undergraduate students to pursue careers in dairy product marketing. Major areas
include Dairy Science, Animal Science, Agricultural Economics, Agricultural
Communications, Agricultural Education, General Agriculture and Food and Nutrition.
The scholarship is available to any undergraduate student during their sophomore or
junior year in college with an explicit interest in milk marketing. Students can only
receive the NDS/DMI scholarship one year. The applicant must have at least a
cumulative 2.5 GPA (4.0 scale, accumulated or equivalent).
One (1) $1500 scholarship will be given. In addition, up to six (6) $1000 scholarships will
be awarded, total is to be determined by the number and quality of applications. The
Scholarship will be paid when the winners are recognized at the National Dairy Shrine
Awards Banquet.
All Applications/Letters of Recommendation/Transcripts are accepted
from March 1, until May 1, midnight, CST.
Instructions for applying:
1. Download this application and type in your responses in the gray boxes. These boxes will
expand as you type. Save the file as DMI.Last Name.First Name.doc.
Email to [email protected]. If you have problems please e-mail NDS.
2. Send two letters of recommendation with at least one a faculty member who is familiar
with the applicant’s activities and academic achievements. Please have emailed to
[email protected].
3. Mail an official transcript showing all college courses and grades to be only viewed by the
NDS Executive Director.
Applicants will receive a confirmation of receipt via email with
a successful submission of an electronic application form.
