Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation Code of Conduct Participation in the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation is a privilege that is extended to a select group of individuals at Lake Forest College. As role models and representatives of excellence at LFC, students accepted into the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation are expected to adhere to a high standard of behavior. In addition to abiding by the Lake Forest College Handbook policies, Groner recipients will refrain from the following acts: • Engage in underage drinking or provide alcoholic beverages to anyone under legal age. • Use of tobacco products, vapes, and any other related products. • Knowingly use, attempt to use, possess, sell or assist any other student in the use of any form of controlled substance (drugs, look-alikes, drug paraphernalia) other than those prescribed by the student’s physician. • Exhibit any behavior/citizenship that is considered detrimental to the individual, the reputation of the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation or Lake Forest College. Inappropriate behaviors include, but are not limited to: plagiarism, cheating, illegal acts, aiding and abetting, insubordination, lying to school officials or representatives of the Grace Groner Foundation, falsifying information/signatures, hazing, bullying or intimidating acts, theft, fighting, vandalism or any other conduct which in the sole opinion of the Foundation Trustees brings dishonor to the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation. • Maintaining or being identified on a social media platform that depicts illegal or inappropriate behavior will be considered a violation of this code. If there is a violation of the Code of Conduct, the student’s privilege of participation in the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation will be terminated immediately. Service-learning sites may have more restrictive policies on drug use, alcohol consumption and/or behavior. It is the student’s responsibility to learn about the site’s policies and to abide by them. I have read and understand the Code of Conduct outlined by the Grace Elizabeth Groner Foundation and agree to abide by the Code.
