Guidelines:
1. Choose your top three composers from any of the following musical time
periods such as the medieval era, renaissance era, baroque era, classical era,
romantic era, or 20th century and submit to Mrs. Teall for final selection and
approval.
2. Research information for your Powerpoint, Keynote Slideshow Project,
Google docs or Prezi, and design a presentation project on your approved
composer.
3. Your project must include:
a. Historical background on the time period
b. Information about the composer’s major music compositions
c. 1 music clip of a performance or piece embedded in the project (could
be a hyperlink to a short video)
d. Information about the composer’s career and training
e. Information about any important travel or performances
f. Any musical influences that inspired the composer
4. Make sure to focus on how events influenced the composer’s music.
5. Create an impressive musical Powerpoint presentation showcasing your
research and creative design.
6. Your slide show must have a minimum of 8 slides.
7. You must include a final slide with web links as your bibliography.
8. The Powerpoint should cover and present all material and be complete on its
own, however, you must be prepared to give an oral presentation for the
class.
