MARKETING FOR THE SINGLE PRACTITIONER (ATTORNEY)
A website needs to reflect the legal practice and the services than can be offered to
members of the public - even one or two simple techniques can make a difference
Single practitioners are busy enough with running their business without dealing with law
firm marketing. They do not have the option of sharing business and labour expenses with a
group of partners, so they do not have that many law firm marketing opportunities because
they are exorbitantly expensive and they might not generate a rate of return. Marketing,
however, is a key process in expanding a single practitioner business. Many potential clients
will go to larger firms because they do not know about “you” as a single practitioner
business.
A law firm marketing campaign online is perfect for single practitioners, only because it is low
cost and effective. Running a successful attorney marketing campaign online, however it
takes more than just time; it takes dedication as well, which includes logo design for your
business cards, letterhead, website, and any other form of correspondence you have with
potential clients. Branding is important in every business, even private ones. Once a single
practitioner brand is established and developed, it becomes much easier to spread a law
firm's name and practice.
As a private business and attorney, it is difficult and will most probably not be able to make
use of marketing methods that many other businesses do. The single practitioner may not
have money to spend on expensive advertisements on the television or radio.
The Single Practitioner may not have fliers and posters are out of the question because as a
law firm, you have a formal image to maintain. A customised, professional website is the
best idea for a single practitioner to market legal services, and to get ahead of competitors.
It all begins with a decision to get serious about marketing.

You get more clients. A lot more...

You get better clients. The ones who pay fees without complaint, who come back again
and again and refer their friends and colleagues

You have more money. Marketing can double or triple your income

You work less. Stop working nights, weekends, holidays.

Marketing/Advertising: Repeat business and referrals

Productivity/Time Management: Get more done in less time

Goals: Set meaningful goals and create step-by-step plans for achieving them

Motivation: Get inspired and overcome postponement

Personal growth: Improve your skills, eliminate bad habits, become more influential

Career development: Find your niche, build key relationships, realise your full potential

Leadership: Attract good people and help them realise their full potential

Wealth building: Create passive income and financial freedom
The above are some of the benefits of getting a website up and running.

A website will serve as the first impression clients have of your practice

It will function as a point of contact between clients and your practices

A website, in addition, can have educational information for clients

Accept payments

Distribute forms

Meet other demands of the business.
Get a website; get it up and running and create a website
to market a law firm even further.
