7TH GRADE WORLD HISTORY EGYPTIAN UNIT STUDY GUIDE
VOCABULARY:
1. Artisan– skilled workers who practice a handicraft
2. Bureaucracy– a system of offices and officials that handle the business of government
3. Cataract– groups of rocky rapids
4. Dynasty– a ruling family
5. Hieroglyphic– a drawing or symbol that represents a word or sound
6. Papyrus– a paper made from the papyrus reed
7. Pharaoh– king
8. Pyramid– a structure with triangular sides
9. Delta– an area of soil deposited at the mouth of a river
10. Anatomy– the study of the structure of the body and its organs

Middle, and New Kingdoms of Egyptian history.
